Hey everyone:
Reserve the date of this Friday May 11th for our next wine event - time 6:30 pm. It is going to be a wine tasting at the Vintage to celebrate and welcome the NEW owner, Scott Dunlap. Our long time (OLD) friends, Emil and August, will be there to help host the event as this will be their last full weekend. The guys look forward to being full time customers and enjoying time on the other side of the bar.
We are expecting big things from Scott as he is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) in Hyde park in '96. For the past 11 years he has been sous chef and head chef in Nantucket, New Orleans, Grey Moss Inn in San Antonio, Wyoming, and Chapel Hill cooking everything from BBQ, to Seafood, to French cuisine. Scott wants to keep the same great atmosphere but kick the food up a notch while increasing the hours of operation (hopefully Sunday Brunch is in the future).
The cost is $20 per person and will include h'orderves. I will send out more details in the next couple of days like what wine we will be tasting and some of the good eats that will be available.
