Permian Basin Chapter – 1851 Vineyards Tasting

The 1851 Vineyards is located out of Fredericksburg and was started by
John and Dabs Hollimon when Dabs inherited the farm from her parents.
The first vines were planted in April 2013 and currently have 16 acres
planted with Cabernet, Tannat, Malbec, Petite Sirah, Tempranillo and
Alvarinho (Alberino) vines for their Estate wines. They also source
grapes from the High Plains AVA. The original barn, main house and
smokehouse were built in 1851 (hence the name) and serve as the winery
headquarters. It is listed as an Texas Historical Landmark.
Dabs and John will be presenting their 2017 Lahey Trebbino, 2017 THP Rose’, 2016
Lahey Alicante Bouschet, 2016 Newsom Tempranillo and 2016 Estate Tannat.
The event will start at 7:00 pm and costs will be $40 Members and $45
