Permian Basin Chapter – Coquerel Wine Estate Tasting presented by Stacey Pytlewski Director of Sales
February 7 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm CST
Clay and Brenda Cockerell purchased their first estate vineyard in 2005.
It’s located in Calistoga, California at the north end of the Napa
Valley. Winemaker, Christine Barbe was born and raised in Bordeaux
France and has her doctorate degree in Enology and Viticulture from the
Bordeaux Institute of Enology. Her philosophy is to hand make wines in
small lots to ensure character and authenticity.
Stacey Pytlewski, Director of Sales, last visited us on her to way to the
Buffalo Gap Wine and Food Festival two years ago and is stopping by
Friday evening to present their new wines. We will be tasting the
2018 Verdelho, 2018 Le Petit Sauvignon Blanc, 2015 Terroir Sauvignon
Blanc, 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon, 2014 Petite Sirah and 2012 La Deuce
Revanche Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc.
We usually don’t have our events on Friday but it will be a great way to kick off
our new year in the Wine Society of Texas. We were not able to get the
Grassland Clubhouse but have been able to book the Junior League of
Midland, Maybee Hall at 902 W. Dengar, Midland, Texas. The
driveway on the east side of building is access to the back parking lot. It
is directly west of the COM Building. The event will start at our usual
time of 7:00 pm. Please make your plans to attend now and send your
RSVP by February 5th. I can be reached by return email or by phoning
