The Wine Society of Texas 2017 Annual Meeting, hosted by the Permian Basin Chapter, is being held in Marble Falls, Texas. The three day event begins Friday June, 9th with afternoon check-in at the Hampton Inn host hotel. Our first event is a Friday evening dinner and wine tasting beginning at 7:00 PM at the Flat Creek Enoteca Patio, which is in walking distance of the hotel.
Saturday morning, June 10th begins at 9:15 with a charter bus departure to Solaro Estate Winery where we will taste a selection of their Texas varietals. We expect to depart Solaro Winery before noon and arrive at Perrisos Winery by 1:00 PM.
After arriving at Perrisos Winery, we will be served box lunches of your selection. During lunch, owner and winemaker Seth Martin will discuss his wines assisted by intern Brent Poppy who was a recent Wine Society of Texas Scholarship recipient.
Following lunch, Seth and Brent will lead us on a tour of the wineries new state of the art production facilities. We have scheduled the bus to depart at 3:30PM to arrive back at Hampton Inn at 4:00PM.
Saturday evening begins with a 6:15PM bus departure from Hampton Inn for a 30 minute drive to Torr La Nochs Vineyard and Winery for dinner. The dinner paring and wine selection is being arranged by winery owner Karen Deberry featuring their favorite Texas varietals. The dinner will be followed by a live auction benefiting the Wine Society of Texas Scholarship Fund. We’re planning bus departure by 9:30PM to return to the hotel by 10:00PM.
