Wine of the Month

May 27, 2019 by admin

The featured wine this month chosen by the Permian Basin Chapter is the Lost Oak Winery 2016 Cabernet Franc.  This wine won a Gold Medal in the 38th San Francisco International Wine Competition held in November 2018.  There were 59 judges that tasted over 4,500 wines from all over the world.

Lost Oak Winery is a family-owned and operated winery located in Burleson, Texas.  Winemaker, Jim Evans, has been with them since the beginning.

Aromas of vanilla and spice with cherry, spice and smokey wood on the palette.  Vanilla and fig on the finish.  Pairs well with beef or pork roast and roasted vegetables.  Cost is $30.
