Making a Difference Beyond the Glass: Target Hunger Thanks WST

At the Wine Society of Texas, our love of wine has always been about more than what's in the glass — it's about the community we build together. Giving back is at the heart of who we are, and we're proud that our members continue to step up for those in need.

This past December, WST members came together to donate 182 pounds of food to Target Hunger, a Houston-based nonprofit that has been fighting hunger and strengthening communities for over 37 years. Their Navigation Program provides nourishing food, critical resources, and hope to families facing hardship — and your generosity helped make that possible.

We recently received a heartfelt thank-you letter from Sandra Wicoff, CEO of Target Hunger, sharing how donations like ours are changing lives. Her letter includes the story of Samuel, a father of two who lost his vision and his job, and how Target Hunger's navigators helped his family get back on their feet.

Thank you to every WST member who contributed. Whether it's through our scholarship program, community events, or charitable drives like this one, we're reminded that when wine lovers come together, great things happen — at the table and beyond.
